NSK Kielce Plant Cuts CO2 Emissions with LED Lighting Replacement Project Although LED lighting has quickly made headways in the home, many commercial facilities, office buildings, and manufacturing plants have yet to adopt LEDs for a number of reasons, such as existing lighting systems lasting many years. Cost, of course, is also a factor, but in order to meet NSK Group’s environmental goals, over the past two years, Kielce Plant replaced a total of 3608 fluorescent and mercury lamps with LED lamps resulting in an annual reduction in CO2 emissions of 811 tonnes in FY19, which is expected to increase by a further 540 tonnes in FY20 as the replacement program completes. The LED lamps also have a much longer lifespan thus reducing on-going maintenance costs, waste volumes, and disruption of operations. #NSK #Environment #BeyondNetZero #LED #CO2
